Offers emergency food assistance, advocacy, referrals, limited financial support, immigration and employment counseling, free educational seminars, a thrift shop, and transportation services.
Intake Process: Clients can receive food from the Pantry once a month. In collaboration with the Department of Social Services, Catholic Charities, and/or United Way, individuals may apply for financial grants for utilities and rent/mortgage. Outreach also extends limited direct financial aid for rent/mortgage, utilities, prescriptions, and other needs, provided a future action plan is established. Transportation is available for elderly and disabled individuals to local medical appointments, along with food delivery from the Pantry. Suffolk County Transit bus tickets are offered for various appointments. Additionally, counseling, advocacy, and tutoring are available for documented individuals seeking U.S. citizenship. - Direct services are available to families and individuals in need who are either parish members or reside within the geographic area of St. Martin of Tours Parish (Amityville, East Massapequa, and parts of North Amityville & Amity Harbor).
