Congregate Dining/Home Delivered Meals

About this resource
This initiative provides one hot meal each weekday through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for elderly individuals who are homebound in Southold Town. If there is a verified need, frozen meals can be provided for weekends. Additionally, congregate dining is available five days a week, offering one meal per day. Transportation services are also provided. The cooks are certified by the Suffolk County Department of Health. Funding comes from Southold Town, the Suffolk County Office for the Aging, and the New York State Office For Aging.
Intake Procedure: Homebound residents of Southold Town aged 60 and above (including spouses and disabled dependents of any age). For congregate dining, seniors aged 60 and older (along with spouses of any age) are eligible.
Fees: A voluntary contribution of $4 per meal is requested.
