Infants and toddlers from birth to three years old undergo thorough evaluations at their homes. If they qualify due to a diagnosis or documented delays, they can access services in natural settings such as their homes or community/day care facilities through the Early Intervention Program sanctioned by the Suffolk County Bureau of Services for Children with Special Needs. The evaluations and services provided include special instruction, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, vision therapy, social work, and psychological services.
