The program delivers therapeutic preschool, nursery school, and various therapeutic services for children between the ages of 2.5 and 5 years. It focuses on educating children with identified disabilities and developmental delays alongside their typically developing nursery school counterparts. The services include evaluations and support in special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, music therapy, vision therapy, counseling, social work, and psychological services. Parental consent for evaluation is necessary through the school district of residence. Infants and toddlers from birth to 3 years undergo in-home evaluations, and if found eligible, they receive services in natural settings (home/community/daycare) through the Early Intervention Program, as sanctioned by the Suffolk County Division of Services for Children with Special Needs.
