This program delivers inpatient psychiatric services specifically designed for elementary-age children, helping them to continue their educational journey while receiving psychiatric care. Referrals are made by parents or schools, and children are admitted following a comprehensive assessment by social workers, psychologists, and physicians. The duration of stay can vary from 1 to 12 weeks, during which a complete academic curriculum is provided by Eastern Suffolk BOCES.
