The Immigrant Services Program (ISP) focuses on aiding immigrants, refugees, asylees, and new arrivals who are part of low-income households and encounter language or cultural obstacles in accessing community resources. While priority is given to these groups, assistance is also extended to others when staff time permits. We offer direct services, case management, and referrals to help clients achieve self-sufficiency. Our services include job development, referrals to adult ESL classes and tutoring, guidance on community resources, help with application processes, and access to healthcare and childcare providers. We also provide referrals for in-house SNAP and health insurance applications, tax preparation programs, and assistance with social services and public benefits documentation. Catholic Charities is recognized by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security as a non-profit that offers affordable legal immigration services. These services are fee-based, with a sliding scale available for low-income individuals, and we are affiliated with the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC). The program director is DOJ-accredited to provide legal immigration assistance, which includes services such as address changes, affidavits of support, alien relative petitions, citizenship and naturalization services, consular processing, employment authorization, and more. Intake can be done through walk-ins or appointments, and fees apply for immigration legal services.
