Family Counseling Service Of The Finger Lakes

This initiative provides a secure and confidential shelter, along with advocacy and crisis/educational counseling for victims and their children facing emergencies. The services offered include crisis intervention, needs assessment, and evaluation of individual situations, as well as the creation of personalized safety plans. Additionally, it provides education, information, and referrals, access to safe shelter, and various forms of counseling related to crisis, peer support, and domestic violence. Support groups are available both virtually and in person, along with referrals to therapeutic counseling. The program also informs victims of their rights and assists with Family Court petitions, court accompaniment, and legal advocacy within the criminal justice system. Advocacy extends to housing, social services, medical needs, and other essential services, including transportation to these services. Community education and outreach are also part of the offerings.

Intake Procedure: Individuals can call or walk in.

Fees: All services are provided at no charge.
