About this resource
Geriatric Mental Health Services supports older adults experiencing issues related to mood, grief, family conflicts, or other mental health symptoms. The service also offers referrals to various support options, such as long-term planning, legal and financial assistance, home care, and respite care. The Gatekeeper Geriatric Mental Health Training program aims to educate community service workers (like police and postal employees) to recognize signs of mental illness, abuse, depression, and suicide risk, enabling them to make the right referrals for elderly care.
