About this resource
This initiative provides essential support services for seniors, frail elderly individuals, and those with disabilities residing in Pound Ridge, aimed at enhancing their safety. The R-U-OK program conducts daily automated calls to check on participants' well-being, and if there is no response, a police officer is dispatched to ensure their safety. The File for Life program supplies a magnetized container that holds critical medical information, placed on the refrigerator for emergency responders. Additionally, the Loan Closet offers donated medical equipment, including wheelchairs, walkers, and canes, to seniors facing financial constraints. Meals on Wheels delivers home-cooked meals temporarily to those in need.
