About this resource

This initiative provides a temporary housing intervention for low-income veterans and their families who are either homeless or at significant risk of homelessness. Eligible participants can receive housing assistance through case management, which may include support for move-in or rental costs, eviction prevention, benefits assistance, employment and educational resources, legal help concerning housing issues, and other related expenses that foster stable housing. The availability of assistance is contingent on funding.

Intake Procedure: Call to schedule an appointment or to obtain further information.

Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.

Who can use this

  • Eligible participants include veterans and their families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness, with an income at or below 50% of the Area Median Income and a discharge status other than 'Dishonorable.' They must be willing to collaborate with a caseworker and may need to maintain sobriety. The veteran must reside in the household.

Documents you may need

  • DD214, proof of income, photo ID, Social Security card, latest bank statement, and certificate of homelessness through HUD/VASH or another program (if applicable)
