About this resource
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is a research-supported method aimed at delivering extensive outpatient treatment and support services using a wellness and recovery framework for those diagnosed with serious mental illnesses. The services are delivered by a diverse team focused on enhancing independence and fostering community integration. ACT encompasses a range of services, which can be provided in home, community, or office environments, to aid in recovery and minimize or avert the need for inpatient care. These services may include skills training, psychiatric medication management, medication education and support, individual and/or group mental health counseling, case management, peer support, supported employment, and treatment for co-occurring substance use disorders, tailored to meet individual needs.

Fees: Costs vary depending on the specific service.
Who can use this
- Individuals with Serious Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) who have experienced multiple psychiatric hospitalizations or crisis interventions are eligible for services.
