About this resource
Summer EBT is a grocery assistance program designed to support families in buying food for their school-aged children when school is not in session. Each summer, families receive a single payment of $120 on an EBT card for each eligible child to use for groceries. Any unused Summer EBT benefits will expire 122 days after they are issued. A helpline is available for inquiries regarding general questions, eligibility verification, application status, and EBT card concerns.
Intake Procedure: Applications for 2026 benefits can be submitted at any time.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- Families may automatically qualify for Summer EBT if their child is approved through an application or attends a school that participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP) and meets the income criteria.
