About this resource
WIC is a public health initiative aimed at enhancing health results and shaping lifelong nutrition and health practices for women, infants, and children. The program offers nutrition education classes, breastfeeding support, monthly allowances for additional nutritious foods, and connections to community resources.

Who can use this
- To qualify for WIC, applicants must meet four requirements: -Reside in Oregon (US citizenship is not necessary) -Be pregnant, postpartum, breastfeeding, or have a child under 5 years old. Fathers, foster parents, and other guardians can apply for a qualifying child. -Have a household income below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Those receiving OHP, SNAP, or TANF are automatically eligible. -Demonstrate a nutritional risk (evaluated at the appointment time)
