About this resource

This resource acts as a gateway to understanding the various benefits, resources, and entitlements available for veterans, their dependents, and survivors. It includes services such as counseling for veterans' benefits, assistance with claims preparation, advocacy during the claims process, guidance on federal VA benefits and additional state and federal benefits, help with educational benefit claims, support for health care enrollment, requests for military service documents, service-connected and non-service-related disability benefits, survivor benefits, burial benefits, and information regarding veteran home loans.

Intake Procedure: Please call to schedule an appointment.

Travel/Location: Accessible via TriMet bus line 33.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Who can use this

  • Veterans with any discharge status except dishonorable, along with their immediate family members (spouse, un-remarried surviving spouse, child, or stepchild), are eligible.

Documents you may need

  • A copy of the veteran's discharge document (DD214 or Honorable Discharge). If these records are not available, the VSO will help get them. If other records are needed, the VSO will let the client know.
