About this resource
WIC is a public health initiative aimed at enhancing health outcomes and promoting lifelong nutrition and health practices for women, infants, and children. The program emphasizes nutrition education as its foundation, while also offering breastfeeding support, monthly allowances for additional nutritious foods, and connections to community resources. WIC operates under Clackamas County Access to Preventive Health (APH), which aims to reduce barriers to care and improve immunization rates, reproductive health, and the overall health and nutrition of mothers and children.

Fees: There are no fees involved.
Who can use this
- To qualify for WIC, applicants must meet four criteria: -Reside in Oregon (US citizenship is not necessary) -Be pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding, or have a child under 5 years old. Fathers, foster parents, and guardians can apply for eligible children. -Have a household income below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Those receiving OHP, SNAP, or TANF are automatically considered income-eligible. -Demonstrate a nutritional need or risk.

- Proof of ID for parent/guardian and child, proof of address, and proof of OHP/SNAP/TANF or income
