The program looks into claims of abuse that involve physical harm or injury, financial exploitation, verbal or emotional mistreatment, involuntary confinement, wrongful restraint, unwanted sexual advances, caregiver abandonment, neglect of basic needs, or self-neglect (which occurs when individuals cannot care for themselves due to cognitive limitations, potentially leading to harm).

- Individuals aged 65 and older or those aged 18 and older with physical or developmental disabilities or mental health issues.
