About this resource
WIC is a public health initiative aimed at enhancing health outcomes and promoting lifelong nutrition and health practices for women, infants, and children. The program offers nutrition education classes along with additional services such as breastfeeding assistance, monthly benefits for supplemental nutritious foods, and connections to community resources.

Travel/Location: Services are provided by the Sunset Empire Transportation District.
Fees: There are no fees involved.
Who can use this
- To qualify for WIC, applicants must meet four criteria: -Reside in Oregon (US citizenship is not necessary for participation) -Be pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding, or have a child under the age of 5. Fathers, foster parents, and other guardians can apply for a qualifying child. -Have a household income below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Families enrolled in OHP, SNAP, or TANF automatically meet the income eligibility for WIC.
Documents you may need
- Proof of ID for parent/guardian and child, proof of address, and proof of income must be verified once a year during a visit.
