About this resource

This program provides weatherization support that includes: -Heating Source Repair: It may service, fix, or replace malfunctioning furnaces, heating systems, or wood stoves, and can offer a permanent heating solution for homes lacking one. -Insulation: Enhancements are available for site-built and mobile homes, targeting areas like floors, attics, and walls in traditional homes, as well as blown-in insulation for mobile home underbellies. -Weatherization: Aims to help households reduce electric bills by up to $200 annually, offering current tips on energy conservation and free energy-saving products.

Travel/Location: The office is situated within the same complex as Coos Health and Wellness and Advanced Health.

Fees: There are no associated fees.

Who can use this

  • Individuals must have an income at or below 60% of Oregon's median income.

Documents you may need

  • Social Security cards for all household members, drivers license or state ID card for all adults in household, most recent utility bill, and proof of income Acceptable forms of proof of income: -TANF (4-page print-out obtained from DHS office) -Pay stubs (full 90 days are required or appointment will be rescheduled) -SSD or SSI award letter (for the current year) or tax form 1099 -Child support payment history printout -Payment printout for unemployment benefits -VA benefits (recent award letter) -For applicants claiming zero income, a DHS SNAP/food stamp printout will be required
