About this resource
The program offers the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly referred to as food stamps, to eligible individuals. Benefits are provided through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which is also known as the Oregon Trail Card.
Who can use this
- Eligibility is assessed individually: -Income must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, calculated as monthly income before taxes -Various factors influence eligibility and the amount of monthly SNAP benefits, including income sources, housing expenses, utility bills, medical costs for individuals aged 60 and older or with disabilities, and family member relationships -Additional criteria may apply for students, immigrants, and adults aged 18-52 without dependents -Applicants must be US citizens or fulfill specific non-citizen requirements to qualify for SNAP.
