About this resource
WIC is a public health initiative aimed at enhancing health outcomes and shaping lifelong nutrition and health habits for women, infants, and children. The program emphasizes nutrition education as its foundation, while also offering breastfeeding support, monthly allowances for supplemental nutritious foods, and connections to community resources.

Who can use this
- To qualify for WIC, applicants must meet four requirements: -Reside in Oregon (US citizenship is not a prerequisite) -Be a pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding woman, or an infant or child under 5 years old. Fathers, foster parents, and other guardians can apply for eligible children. -Have a household income at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Those receiving OHP, SNAP, or TANF are automatically considered income-eligible. -Present a nutritional risk, which will be evaluated during the appointment.
