About this resource
This organization facilitates pet adoptions (ensuring all pets are spayed and neutered), provides shelter, manages a lost and found reporting program, operates the HOPE Pet Food Bank, runs a community cat initiative, and offers cremation services. It also handles dog licensing and renewals for Deschutes County. Additionally, Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) vouchers can be utilized at various veterinary clinics.
Intake Procedure: For adoption, visit the shelter or their website to view available pets and download the Adoption Questionnaire found under the Adopt tab. For pet surrender, submit an intake request via the Rehoming tab on the website. For lost pets, check the Lost Pets tab on the website for resources and images of found animals, or contact the shelter for assistance. If you've found a pet, call the shelter to report it or inform them when you arrive with the animal (during business hours). After hours, contact Animal Control. For those outside Deschutes County, visit the website for a list of nearby shelters (under the Lost Pets tab). For additional services, reach out to the shelter directly.
