About this resource
This program provides vocational rehabilitation, training in independent living skills, career exploration, and general counseling specifically for adults who are legally blind. It also extends independent living services to those who are visually impaired, featuring orientation and mobility training, daily living techniques, Braille instruction, counseling, support groups, vocational training, job development, and transition services for blind high school students. Additionally, a range of adaptive items for individuals with visual impairments is available.
Intake Procedure: Services are available by appointment only; please call to arrange a meeting.
Fees: Contact for fee information; payments are accepted in cash or by check only.
Who can use this
- Eligibility varies by service; it includes adults who are legally blind or have conditions leading to blindness, as well as individuals aged 55 and older who cannot drive or read the newspaper with glasses.
