About this resource

The Employment Related Day Care program (ERDC) supports families who are employed, enrolled in school, or receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) by helping them manage child care expenses, which also includes registration fees.

Application Process: You can apply online, via phone, or by visiting a nearby ODHS Self Sufficiency Branch Office.

Costs: ERDC operates as a subsidy program, meaning that many families are still responsible for a portion of the child care expenses, known as a copayment (copay). The copayment amount is determined by the family's size and income level.
