About this resource
Head Start services aim to prepare children for school by promoting their social and cognitive development within a classroom environment, alongside providing educational, health, nutritional, social, and additional services for children and their families. Emphasis is placed on parental involvement, which includes goal setting, support, parenting classes, and networking opportunities. A home-based Head Start option is also available for families residing in rural areas.

Fees: There are no fees associated with the program.
Who can use this
- Families with children aged 3-5 are eligible, particularly those with incomes at or below 100% FPL. Additionally, children in foster care, homeless children, and those from families receiving public assistance (TANF, SNAP, or SSI) qualify regardless of income. Families with higher incomes and specific needs may also be considered, but those with greater needs are given priority.
