About this resource
WIC is a program designed to provide supplemental nutrition for women, infants, and children. It includes nutrition education classes, breastfeeding assistance, monthly benefits for nutritious foods, and connections to community resources.
Intake Procedure: Contact to obtain information and set up an appointment.
Fees: There are no fees involved.
Who can use this
- To qualify for WIC, applicants must meet four requirements: -Reside in Oregon (US citizenship is not necessary for participation) -Be a pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding woman, or a child under five years old. Fathers, foster parents, and other guardians may apply for a qualifying child. -Have a household income that is below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Those receiving OHP, SNAP, or TANF are automatically considered income-eligible for WIC. -Have a nutritional risk, which will be evaluated during the appointment.
