About this resource
The program focuses on training dogs to promote the safety of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. These specially trained dogs can provide a soothing presence, which may enhance the child's ability and willingness to communicate, foster social skills, and diminish autistic behaviors. Additionally, they can assist in keeping children safe from hazards such as traffic and bodies of water.
