About this resource
This program provides in-home assistance to eligible seniors residing in their own homes. Services encompass housekeeping, personal care, laundry, shopping, and meal preparation. Additionally, case management is available to guide older adults in making cost-effective and suitable choices regarding their care needs. The number of service hours per individual varies based on assessed requirements and local funding, typically ranging from 5 to 20 hours monthly. Oregon Project Independence may be suitable in situations such as when an individual needs personal and home care support due to injury or illness or when recovering at home after hospitalization. Intake Procedure: For more information, call or visit the website; note that some services may have a waitlist. Fees: Costs are determined on a sliding scale, based on monthly household income minus monthly medical expenses.
