About this resource

The Oregon Department of Education collaborates with local agencies to establish a comprehensive system of complimentary services for young children experiencing developmental delays and disabilities, along with their families. This includes: -Early Intervention (EI): Tailored services for children from birth to three years, aimed at supporting parents in fostering their child's physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and adaptive growth; and -Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE): Specialized instruction for children aged 3 until they are eligible for public school, focusing on areas such as communication, cognitive skills, social/emotional development, and adaptive abilities.

Intake Procedure: Contact for information and to arrange an appointment.

Travel/Location: Intersection of Biddle Road and Superior Court.

Fees: None.

Who can use this

  • Children aged 0 to school age who are suspected of having developmental delays or disabilities can receive free screening and evaluation, with those identified as needing assistance qualifying for EI and ECSE services.
