About this resource

WIC is a public health initiative aimed at enhancing health outcomes and shaping lifelong nutrition and health habits for women, infants, and children. The program offers nutrition education classes along with additional services such as breastfeeding support, monthly allowances for supplemental nutritious foods, and connections to community resources.

Intake Procedure: Schedule an appointment by calling or texting.

Fees: There are no fees involved.

Who can use this

  • To qualify for WIC, applicants must meet four requirements: -Reside in Oregon (US citizenship is not necessary for WIC participation) -Be a pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding woman, or an infant or child under the age of 5. Fathers, foster parents, and other guardians may also apply for a qualifying child. -Have a household income that is at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Families enrolled in OHP, SNAP, or TANF are automatically considered income-eligible for WIC. -Have a nutritional risk, which will be evaluated during the appointment.
