About this resource

The Employment Related Day Care program (ERDC) offers support to families in Oregon who are either working, enrolled in school, or receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) to help cover child care expenses, including registration fees.

Application Process: You can apply via the internet, by telephone, or in person at a local ODHS Self Sufficiency Branch Office.

Costs: ERDC operates as a subsidy program, which means that many families are still responsible for a portion of the child care expenses, known as a copayment (copay). The copay amount is determined by the family's size and income level.
