Rogue Retreat
Community Resource
About this resource
This urban campground accommodates up to 150 individuals and operates in three distinct phases: tents, non-congregate shelter, and a village. In Phase 1, residents receive tent sites and meals, focusing on immediate needs, with no sobriety requirements for service access, although drug and alcohol use is prohibited on-site. Phase 2 transitions residents to non-congregate shelters, which offer enhanced privacy and security, featuring Pallet Shelters and Rigid Tents equipped with electrical outlets, heating, cooling, and locking doors. Amenities include a shower and laundry trailer, and residents must engage in case management services while paying a monthly fee and handling their own meals. Phase 3 allows residents to move into a village environment with small, individual units, requiring 30 days of sobriety, fostering community and peer support. The intake process involves visiting the website to review housing options and applying in person, by mail, or online, with a monthly call to check application status and remain active on the waitlist. The facility is located at the intersection of East Main St and Genessee St in Medford, OR, identifiable by its gray/blue two-story building. Residents in Phases 2 and 3 are responsible for monthly program and utility fees based on their income.
