About this resource
This initiative provides vocational rehabilitation, training in independent living skills, career exploration, and general counseling specifically designed for adults who are legally blind. It also extends independent living services to those with visual impairments, encompassing orientation and mobility training, daily living techniques, Braille instruction, counseling, support groups, vocational training, job development, and transition services for blind students in high school. Additionally, it features a range of adaptive products for individuals with visual impairments.
Intake Procedure: Services are available by appointment only; please call to arrange a visit.
Fees: Contact for details; payments are accepted in cash or check only.
Who can use this
- Eligibility depends on the service; it includes adults who are legally blind or have a condition that may lead to blindness, as well as individuals aged 55 and older who cannot drive or read the newspaper with glasses.
