About this resource
Veterans have access to a range of treatment options for substance use disorders, which include both individual and group therapy as well as medications aimed at helping them decrease their use of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs. VA providers recognize that substance use issues can often be chronic, necessitating ongoing care. For some veterans, these issues may resolve more swiftly if associated conditions—such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, pain, sleep disturbances, irritability, or relationship challenges—are also addressed.
Intake Procedure: To begin, call to schedule an appointment. The screening and assessment typically require around 3 hours.
Fees: No fees are charged.
