About this resource
This program offers food assistance through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), often called food stamps, to those who qualify. Benefits are issued through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which is also known as the Oregon Trail Card.
Who can use this
- Eligibility is assessed individually: -Income must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, calculated as monthly income before taxes -Additional factors influencing eligibility and the amount of monthly SNAP benefits include income sources, housing expenses, utility bills, and medical costs for individuals aged 60 and over or those with disabilities, as well as family member relationships -Certain groups, including students, immigrants, and adults aged 18-52 without dependents, may need to fulfill extra requirements beyond income limits -Applicants must either be US citizens or meet specific criteria for non-citizens.
