About this resource
WIC is a public health initiative aimed at enhancing health outcomes and shaping lifelong nutrition and health habits for women, infants, and children. The program emphasizes nutrition education as its foundation, while also offering services such as breastfeeding support, monthly allowances for supplemental nutritious foods, and connections to community resources.

Fees: There are no costs involved.
Who can use this
- To qualify for WIC, applicants must meet four criteria: -Reside in Oregon (US citizenship is not a requirement) -Be a pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding woman, or an infant or child under 5 years old. Fathers, foster parents, and other guardians may apply for a qualifying child. -Have a household income below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Families receiving OHP, SNAP, or TANF are automatically considered income-eligible. -Have a nutritional risk, which will be evaluated during the appointment.
