About this resource
This initiative provides weatherization services designed to assist families in decreasing their energy consumption and utility bills, enhancing indoor air quality, and creating a healthier, more comfortable living environment. Services may encompass insulating attics, walls, heating ducts, and floors; sealing air leaks; improving airflow in attics and under floors; installing carbon monoxide and smoke detectors; and supplying air purifiers and filters. It may also involve servicing heating systems and conducting minor health and safety repairs.
Intake Procedure: To begin, call to get on the weatherization list. If help is available, an appointment will be arranged for the application process. After the application is submitted, an energy audit will be conducted to identify which improvements would be beneficial for your home. Following this, the weatherization work will be carried out, and an inspection will confirm that the work complies with state standards.
Fees: There are no fees.
