This initiative aims to inform members of the medical field, professionals, self-advocates, caregivers, and the broader community about enhancing their homes or workplaces to be more accommodating for those with disabilities. The program is customizable to meet the specific needs of agencies or groups. Training sessions blend practical insights from families with reliable information on disabilities, with durations varying according to requirements, including full-day options. Topics addressed may include Creating a Welcoming Environment, Individual Education Plans (IEP), Fine Motor Skills, Speech and Language, Financial Planning for Individuals with Disabilities, Person-Centered Planning, and Healthy Eating Habits and Special Diets. Additionally, all classes offer complimentary on-site childcare.
