About this resource
WIC is a public health initiative aimed at enhancing health outcomes and shaping lifelong nutrition and health practices for women, infants, and children. The program offers nutrition education classes, breastfeeding support, monthly allowances for additional nutritious foods, and connections to community resources.

Who can use this
- To qualify for WIC, applicants must satisfy four requirements: -Reside in Oregon (US citizenship is not a prerequisite for WIC participation) -Be pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding, or have a child under 5 years old. Fathers, foster parents, and other guardians may apply for a qualifying child. -Have a household income below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Families enrolled in OHP, SNAP, or TANF are automatically deemed income-eligible for WIC. -Experience a nutritional risk (to be evaluated during the appointment)
