About this resource
This initiative conducts assessments for children who have suffered abuse or neglect, investigates cases of potential medical neglect, and provides family restoration services. It includes substitute care (foster care), permanent foster care, and resources for both adoptive parents and adopted children. Additionally, it offers an independent living program for individuals aged 18-21 who are current or former foster children, along with supportive services for eligible families and children, such as in-home resource workers and parent training. The program also assists children under the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and recruits and trains individuals and families to serve as temporary or permanent foster caregivers.
