Community Resource
About this resource
This initiative conducts assessments for children who are victims of abuse and neglect, investigates cases of suspected medical neglect, and offers family restorative services. It includes substitute care (foster care), permanent foster care, and resources for both adoptive parents and adopted children. Additionally, there is an independent living program for individuals aged 18-21 who are former or current foster children, along with supportive services for eligible children and families, such as home resource workers and parent training. The program also assists eligible children under the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and recruits and trains suitable individuals and families to provide both permanent and temporary substitute care for children in state custody (foster parents/families).
