About this resource
Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs deliver essential services such as education, health care, nutrition, social services, and additional support, including developmental screenings, specifically for migrant children whose parents are employed in agriculture. The initiative fosters preschoolers' language, reading, and math abilities critical for academic success, while also encouraging parental engagement. Services available to parents and expectant mothers encompass parenting workshops, family assistance, and opportunities for leadership. Additionally, wrap-around child care services may be offered.
