County Veterans Service Offices (CVSOs) act as key resources for veterans, their dependents, and survivors to navigate the benefits, resources, and entitlements accessible to them. They offer a variety of services, including: -Counseling on veterans' benefits and help with claims preparation, along with advocacy during the claims process -Guidance on federal VA benefits and additional state and federal benefits -Support with educational benefit claims -Help for veterans seeking health care enrollment -Assistance in obtaining military service documents -Information on service-connected and non-service-related disability and survivor benefits -Burial benefits -Details regarding veteran home loans -Oregon Veterans' Home Conservatorship services for eligible individuals deemed "protected persons" under Oregon law.
Intake Procedure: Individuals can walk in or call to schedule an appointment.
Fees: There are no fees for these services.
Who can use this
- Eligible individuals include veterans with any discharge status except dishonorable and their immediate family members (spouse, un-remarried surviving spouse, child, or stepchild).
