About this resource

This initiative delivers assessments for child victims of abuse and neglect, investigates cases of suspected medical neglect, and provides family restorative services. It includes substitute care (foster care), permanent foster care, and resources for both adoptive parents and children who have been adopted. Additionally, there is an independent living program for individuals aged 18-21 who are former or current foster children, along with supportive services for eligible families and children, such as in-home resource workers and parent training. The program also assists children under the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and actively recruits and trains qualified individuals and families to serve as temporary and permanent foster care providers for children in state custody.
