About this resource

Employment Related Day Care (ERDC) offers financial assistance to working families to help with child care costs, ensuring access to quality care for those employed and raising a child. Support is provided based on available funding.

Intake Procedure: To apply, fill out an application and schedule an interview with a DHS representative. You can download, complete, and send the application via mail, visit an ODHS Self-Sufficiency Office (note that Processing Centers do not accept walk-ins), or contact your local ODHS Self-Sufficiency Office to request an application by mail.

Fees: As a subsidy program, ERDC requires many families to contribute a portion of the child care expenses, known as a copayment (copay). The copay amount is determined by the family's size and income.
