About this resource
This program delivers vocational rehabilitation, training in independent living skills, career exploration, and general counseling specifically for adults who are legally blind. It also caters to visually impaired individuals by providing independent living services, which encompass orientation and mobility training, daily living techniques, Braille instruction, counseling, support groups, vocational training, job development, and transition services aimed at blind high school students. Additionally, a variety of adaptive products for those with visual impairments are available.
Intake Procedure: Services are available by appointment only; please call to arrange a meeting.
Fees: For fee information, please call; only cash or checks are accepted.
Who can use this
- Eligibility depends on the service; it includes adults who are legally blind or have conditions leading to blindness, and those aged 55 and older who cannot drive or read the newspaper with glasses.
