Looking Glass Community Services
Community Resource
About this resource
Safe Place consists of various businesses, fire stations, and Lane Transit District (LTD) buses that provide prompt support to youth facing crises. Young individuals can visit any designated Safe Place location, marked by a black and yellow sign, and request a "safe place." An employee at that location will contact Looking Glass Station 7, an emergency shelter, from which a trained volunteer will be sent to escort the youth to safety.
Intake Procedure: For information, a call is necessary. Youth accessing help through a fire station must first reach out to Station 7, prompting an employee to directly contact that station. Subsequently, a fire station employee will welcome the young person inside.
Fees: There are no charges for this service.
