Family Tree Relief Nursery
Community Resource
About this resource
Relief Nurseries assist families with young children who are under considerable stress. Family Tree Relief Nursery specifically provides high-risk families with comprehensive support through tailored case management. The factors contributing to risk include poverty, elevated stress levels, depression, a history of mental health issues, lack of dependable transportation, single parenthood, criminal records, being an adult victim of child abuse, substance abuse history, unemployment, low self-worth, limited educational background, anger management issues, homelessness, and social isolation. The services offered encompass parenting education, assistance through home visits, group activities, and referrals to resources. Children engage in therapeutic classrooms with low adult-to-child ratios, while families benefit from home visits aimed at fostering healthy parenting and child development.
