Linn Benton Housing Authority

Community Resource

Serves: Albany, Linn County

About this resource

The program oversees two forms of Section 8 housing assistance: Housing Choice Vouchers and Moderate Rehabilitation. With Housing Choice Vouchers, qualifying families can select their own rental properties within the current housing market. The Moderate Rehabilitation program offers a rent subsidy guarantee for units that have been vetted and improved according to the standards set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Intake Process: Individuals can walk in, call, or access the website for more information.

Location: To reach LBHA, take the exit off 99E/Pacific Boulevard at Queen Avenue, located just north of Dutch Bros. Continue past Dari Mart on the left, and LBHA will be on the right before the Cascades West building.

Costs: For Housing Choice Vouchers, families typically contribute a portion of the rent and utilities, which is around 40% of their adjusted monthly income, while LBHA covers the remaining rent to the landlords. In the Moderate Rehabilitation program, tenants pay 30% of their monthly income towards rent and utilities.
