This initiative enables families to construct and acquire their own residences. The homes are sold at no profit to the families who will live in them, and they contribute labor through sweat equity to assist in the construction.

Fees: Homebuyers are responsible for a closing fee that can reach up to $3000. Habitat mortgages encompass the monthly payment, which includes taxes, insurance, and any applicable condo fees, and is capped at 30% of the homeowner's gross monthly income at the time of sale.

- To qualify, applicants must meet income criteria, demonstrate a need for affordable housing, be willing to collaborate with Habitat, and have the ability to make mortgage payments.
