About this resource
Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs deliver educational, health, nutritional, and social services, along with additional support like developmental screenings, specifically for migrant children whose parents work in the fields. The initiative focuses on helping preschoolers enhance their language, reading, and math abilities necessary for academic success, while also promoting parental engagement. Services for parents and expectant mothers include parenting classes, family support, and opportunities for leadership. There may also be wrap-around child care options available.

Who can use this
- To qualify for Migrant and Seasonal Head Start, children must be aged 3-5 and have parents who are seasonal or migrant workers that have relocated from another area within the last two years, with a family income at or below 100% of the federal poverty level primarily derived from agricultural work.
